The autor want us to think about the concept about "human" and  "Person" so he makes a comparison with Chimpanzes that are being held in cages by their owners.Thereofore, the goal is that chimpanzes have freedom and live in their habitat with other animals.For that reason the autor want to emphasize that chimpanzees are people because they have the rights and they deserve that everyone seem to them as people.
